7 p.m. till 10 p.m.Come dance Argentine Tango in a restored Victorian
Dancing Pavilion at sunset overlooking the Kentucky River. Water,
soft drinks and snacks provided. (No alcohol please, it's a Jessamine
County Park.)Event goes off rain or shine! DJ: Lu Ann Pelle. Traditional
Music. (OK, maybe one tanda of Otros Aires or Narcotango, just for
kicks!)
Spring thunderstorms did not dampen our enthusiasm, nor did
the fact that the main road to Highbridge was closed due to an accident.
We all persevered, the clouds parted, we found alternate routes,
the twinkle lights got hung in time (thanks Barbara and Kelly) and
sixty-four people experienced the magic that is Highbridge. The
trains rumbling past above us, the scenic view of the Kentucky River
from the overlook, the beautiful Victorian Dancing Pavilion, really
really nice people....what a great evening. Thanks to all who pitched
in to help put all the tables and chairs away, and whoever grabbed
the mop and mopped the floor: Besos!
Seems nobody took any pictures after sunset...guess they were
too busy dancing!

LexTango 2nd Sunday Milonga (Easter Sunday)
5:30 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Victorian Square
401 W Main Street, Lexington, KY 40507
Primarily Traditional Argentine Tango music. DJ: Lu Ann Pelle.
DeSha's Restaurant and Bar and Brooklyn Pizza will
be open before, during and after the Milonga.
The Easter Bunny paid a visit and left eggs--with
Tango Quotes and candy inside. It certainly looked like Spring in
the Atrium. Louisville and Cincinnati were represented, as well
as our Lexington dancers. Rita finished our FABULOUS Tango banner.
Thank you, Rita! Check out the Trivia
Page to see the quotes that the Easter Bunny left us.

LexTango 2nd Sunday Milonga at Victorian Square
5:30 to 8 p.m.
The only place in Lexington where you can dance under the old-fashioned
street lamps and still be inside! Primarily Traditional Argentine
Tango music with some Nuevo and Alternative music, too. DJ: Lu Ann
Pelle
Wow, wow and wow. About 54 dancers in attendance. Lots of dancers
new to the 2nd Sunday Milonga, including a large group from Blair's
Ballroom in Louisville. What a treat. Not one, but two fedoras!
Always impressive. (E.K. The last song of the alternative tanda
was the Marry Song from Band of Horses.) As is traditional with
this milonga, our last tanda starts with Cumparsita, then something
romantic..it may or may not be a traditional tango.... and ends
with swing. The place was jumpin'!

Milonga at Natasha's
7:00 p.m. till 10 p.m.
No cover--but management appreciates it when we eat
and drink. Gene and Natasha moved the boutique to the corner storefront,
and the size of the restaurant has doubled. How hip can one place
be? See www.beetnik.com.
Yes, some of us are hard-core and will come out
to dance tango even during a historic winter snow/ice storm. A small
turn out for a Milonga at Natasha's, but given the circumstances,
we were lucky to get there at all. Lu Ann spent fourty minutes stuck
in the street just in front of the restaurant. (Thank you random
guy with shovel!!)We were thrilled to have dancer's from Louis Bravo's
"Forever Tango" in attendance, including Marcela Duran,
Victoria Galoto,Juan Paulo Horvath,Vanesa Villalba,David Leguizamon,Maria
Celeste Medina and Carlos Vera. We appreciate the staff at Natasha's
who braved the weather to help make sure we were well taken care
of.
