LexTango 2nd Sunday Milonga

5:30 to 8 p.m. in the Atrium of Victorian Square
401 W Main Street, Lexington, KY 40507

"The weather outside was frightful....but the dancing was so delightful." But it did not discourage our dancers from Louisville and Elizabethtown. Acutally, it was just plain cold; the snow was gone from the streets.

Psssst....
Meet at Al's Bar at 5:30 on Sunday, December 20. We'll dance until 8:00 p.m. or whenever the band kicks us out. Music will be about half alternative/nuevo and half traditional. Al's Bar is at 6th and Limestone in Lexington. It's all "dolled up" for Christmas. Dress: anything goes. But the regulars who play pool there prefer fishnet and or sequins (on the women)

Well we did, and it was! The biggest turnout ever for tango at Al's bar. We weren't ready to stop at 8, and the band was just hanging about, so we danced till 8:30. Watch this website for the next tango meetup at Al's.

Full Moon Milonga

Yoga Studio at Dudley Square, 380 South Mill Street, Lexington, KY
8 p.m. to 11 p.m. $5 per person
Light snacks will be provided. You are welcome to BYOB and/or bring an appetizer to share.

Rita and Jay hosted a milonga on an appropriately warm and breezy night with spooky clouds drifting past a nearly full moon. Look at that "snack" table. LexTango doesn't do anything half way!

Notice the ghostly "orb".                   Senorita Misteriosa

LexTango 2nd Sunday Milonga

5:30 to 8 p.m. in the Atrium of Victorian Square
401 W Main Street, Lexington, KY 40507

We didn't realize it 'till it was over, but this Milonga marked our two year anniversary of regular milongas at Victorian Square. We thought security had remembered to turn off the fountain for a change, but no, it had flooded earlier in the day and they had to turn it off. (We thought the floor looked awfully clean as we were setting up tables!)

This month the music featured Donato tangos, milongas and waltzes. But we still managed to fit in a tanda of NarcoTango. Click here for information about Edgardo Donato and the play list. After party at Cheapside. Great shoe shot, Cindy!

PDT at Al's Bar (Public Display of Tango)

Yes it was hot. But the beer was cold. Ah, Al's. It's a casual kind of place. So casual, SOMEBODY was dancing in their Tevas! Al's Bar website
